Meet-up and new buys!

Hey everyone!

Anyone else have a serious case of the Monday’s?! I did. Always a bummer after a fun weekend! I met up with some lovelies from the blog world! I met ClaireΒ and BethΒ for the first time, and got to see Katie again! I haven’t seen her since we met at HLS–but now she lives close! I can’t wait to meet up again. Anyone else in the Pittsburgh area? We would love for you to join us next time!

I was a little nervous at first–I have never had a meet up! But every one was so nice, we chatted all through lunch and then did some shopping! I had the hummus and a caesar salad at Houlihan’s. I love their hummus–they make it to order!

Then this happened:

I had some good finds at Forever 21!! And I didn’t realize how much Chi Omega is really happening here! Love it! Cardinal and Straw must be on my mind… πŸ™‚

Also…I am getting better at remembering to wear accessories with my outfits–my first experience wearing bangles:

I got a big set of them I mixed and matched from New York & Company–love that store!

And then topped the night off with my Mom making one of my favorite meals:

Shrimp pasta with salad and white zin! Yum!

What are some of your favorite comfort foods?

Hi guys! I was getting so tired last night while writing that post–so I had to give in to the sleepiness! But here is the last of the HLS posts! 😦

Saturday night was SO much fun. Katie, Danielle and I didn’t realize that we should have made a reservation for dinner, so we ended up wandering around for like an hour and a half just trying to find somewhere with less than a two hour wait! One host even laughed a little when I said that I didn’t have a reservation :/ Who does that?!

It all worked out because we ended up going to The Corner (I know, sounds sketchy!) and eating up on the balcony. It wasn’t great service, but I did like the atmosphere.

We all started off with wine. πŸ™‚

{Artsy Fartsy: fail πŸ™‚ }

I ended up choosing the “Seafood Hotdog” because it just sounded interesting. I figured it was either going to be amazing or disgusting, lol. Lucky for me, it was very tasty!

It was served with homemade chips and coleslaw–which were also good! πŸ™‚

And no blogger outing would be complete without FroYo! Seriously.

Cookies & cream/PNB ice cream with crushed Oreos and sprinkles?? Yes, please! It was just as good as it looks! πŸ™‚

Afterwards, we headed back to the hotel, just in time for Caitlin to call me and say that they were going to a gay bar, and that I should go. When in Rome?

It was SO much fun. We danced and sang to Brit, Ke$ha, and Gaga all night! πŸ™‚ After walking around for a long time to find pizza–I promptly face planted in bed. I was pretty excited that the 5K the next morning turned into more of a walk than a run, lol.

{Blogger Lurve <3…pictures stolen from Meghann–who is a ROCKSTAR for planning the whole summit by herself!}

After a walk around Philly and running up the Rocky steps, I couldn’t wait for breakfast! It was an oatmeal bar sponsored by Quaker Oats! So tasty–but I didn’t stop to take pictures. Just having a “Breakfast is my happy hour” moment. πŸ™‚ After say my good bye to everyone, I headed up to pack up all my goodies and head home.

After a long car ride last–I was exhausted. I defintely suffered from a HLS hangover the next day. Can’t wait to go back next year! πŸ™‚

xoxo.

Getting everything together and packed for vacation! Heading out Friday evening, and then finishing on Saturday morning!

Two things:

1. Has anyone ever vacationed with their dog? Do you have any advice?

2. Ever been to VT? Where do I NEED to go?

Ben & Jerry’s and a winery are pretty much the only things I have committed to, other than relaxing. Any advice is welcomed. Please bear in mind–this is my “Congrats on graduating…again” trip–limited budget. πŸ™‚

Thanks!, xoxo
