Hey everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful week–almost Friday 🙂 !

Just a quick post! Three random things:

I hate student loans.

Pretty much how I feel sometimes!

I was on the phone having a brief anxiety attack when I found that my payment amount had pretty much doubled. Luckily, I think it is all sorted out.

Best way to de-stress afterwards:

Snuggle time while finishing my coffee.

And lastly, I discovered the awesomeness of Disney Bound from this evil site (only evil because I waste so much time on it)!

She puts together super cute outfits based on characters in the movies! Love it!:-)

Well, off to get ready for work. Hope you all have a good day!

xoxo.

Hi everyone!

Can you believe it is November already?! Another month come and gone…but first what I did on Halloween:

Well I worked during the day…but I did get to wear my Halloween Scooby-Doo scrubs! 🙂 But then Mom brought Bailey in her costume for our Halloween party at work!

Isn’t Princess Bailey gorgeous?! She had a little hat, but it wouldn’t stay on!

And of course Garrett was a Frog Prince:

Not easy to get them both to stay still long enough for a picture!

He loves to dress up and wear clothes! I think he would wear something every day if he could!

We waited around for trick-or-treaters…but no one came again this year. 😦 So clearly, Mom and I had to have some festive fun!

Insert Mummy Dogs:

Haha, aren’t they hilarious?!?!

The crew was just dying for us to drop one…

But on to November:

After reading Tina’s blog this morning, I decided was going to join in on her “Be Thankful Challenge”. Every day of November think about what you are thankful for: either write it down, blog about it, tweet it, whatever!

So today, I am thankful that other families decided that they couldn’t care for their pets, and that I was able to take in 4 rescue animals! 🙂 They make me smile every day!

What are you thankful for?

Design help!

So I need your help.

I am trying to redo my room a bit…and it seems to be coming along pretty well, except I can’t decide where to hang some pictures. Here is that I have so far…

New, and much smaller desk from Ikea! Really gives me more room. Since I really only use my desk for my lap top–and not school work! 🙂

I moved my bed and need to re-center the pictures….but you get the idea.

I’m thinking of hanging the pictures below on the blank spot between the dresser and bookshelf…and my other option is the other wall beside my bed…(That is where I need your help!)

I clearly still need to put them into frames…but you get the idea.

So what do you think? Any other ideas of what I should so with the room?

I am off to eat some breakfast and get ready to go horseback riding with some friends from my old job, can’t wait! 🙂 Enjoy your Sunday! I know someone who is ready for a lazy Sunday…

xoxo.

Hi there, hope you all had a nice Sunday!

I did lots of relaxing–and nothing too productive. I did go get some fro-yo with Meg:

Peanut Butter and cookies and cream with some mini chocolate chips! Yum. But that little cookie thing on top–not so good. It was a majah letdown.

After hanging out and chatting for a while I decided to impromptu go out to the new LA Fitness and check it out. I was pretty impressed, I just wish there was an indoor track. I got a pretty good deal, and I’m excited about heading out there tomorrow! 🙂

Dinner:

Shrimp pasta and garlic bread…one of my favorite indulgent meals!

Same salad as last night, but with caesar dressing.

And to top it off:

The drink I have been talking about making! It was very good, but I think would be better served outside on a hot day–rather than the gloomy day that has been happening over here!

Blog dogs (having a lazy Sunday, too):

They spend hours looking out that window.

Well I am going to go read and enjoy the rest of my night before a crazy yet exciting week!

First time going to the gym tomorrow–what is a good elliptical work out I should try?

I was in charge of dinner tonight…so I decided to roll with a recipe I have been dying to try! I think everyone else in the blog world has tried this before I have!

That’s right, I’m talking about Mmmm Sauce!

I gathered my ingredients:

Followed the recipe–while using my awesome food processor:

(For some reason I did not expect almonds to be in there!)

(I also thanked the pantry gods that we had curry powder! Even though I read the ingredient list 853 times, I managed to keep overlooking the curry and didn’t notice it before adding all of the ingredients! Oops.)

I had to taste it before putting it in the bowl–and I must say…Mmmm! 🙂

Now, what to put it on?

Quinoa seemed to be a popular choice–so I rolled with that! I knew we would be having chicken…so I finished the dish off with a salad. In the mix was romaine, chick peas, cucumbers (from my own garden), and more Mmmm sauce!

But the meal still needed a little something:

I love goldddddd!!

Pretty healthy (and delicious) meal, if I do say so myself! Thanks to Mama Pea for the recipe and to CaitlinHTP for not being able to quit the sauce.

End of dinner entertainment:

Notice their matching toys! Puppy lurve ❤

…and you can thank my new toy for all of the lovely pictures tonight! 🙂

xoxo.

I got my new toy in the mail today!

Canon A3100 IS

I have been playing with it since the battery was charged! But I haven’t really had anything interesting going on to photograph.

So pet photography ensued:

Seriously, how cute are they?! Though judging by all the yawning and stretching–I interrupted their nap time!

Can’t wait to play with the camera some more! 🙂

I know that I have been slacking on this “blog more often” challenge, but with working and trying to find my “big kid” job–this has taken a back burner.

I have been back from vacation for a 9 days now, and it hardly feels like I did any relaxing at all! Work had been insane and understaffed, so we have all been a little…stressed.

I know I had a post right before vacation asking where I should go..so I figured I would do a little photo recap of what we did!

We ended up having to take a ferry into VT because the bridge had been destroyed by flood waters over the spring….

Garrett was very well-behaved the entire trip–but especially in the car, seeing at it was a 10 hour drive!

The landscapes while driving were just breathtaking!

We spent the first day pretty much just taking in the cabin and hanging out by the dock–the sound of the water was just what we needed!

Garrett really wanted to play with all the sticks, but he wouldn’t get fully in the water! Doesn’t he know that is what Labs are supposed to do?!

My cousin Alli came to visit us, but I didn’t get a picture :(.

We went to visit the Wildflower Farm and Shelburne Vineyards on Monday–the wildflowers were pretty, but not as fun as anticipated (I think it would be more exciting in Spring). But the vineyard tour was really fun–and of course the wine wasn’t too bad either!

Cheers!

The next day we spent the day doing tourist like things as well…

Of course we visited Ben & Jerry’s! It was so much fun–and it didn’t hurt that you get free samples! 🙂 The weather was pretty amazing all week but it was particularly sunny for ice cream day!

I heard about the Red Onion sandwich from Tina, so we decided to make a bee-line there for lunch when we were visiting the shops at Burlington!

It was just what we needed to trek on with our exploring!

This is what we got to watch every night from the dock–couldn’t have asked for a better view!

Overall, it was just a very relaxing trip with just a few touristy things thrown in.

I definitely miss my off leash morning runs with Garrett down the causeway.

And I think he misses all of the giant “sticks” to play with  (even though we did bring two of his favorites home as a souvenir! 😉 )

“Please Mom, can’t I keep this one??”

I took over 250 pictures. So I had to just pick some of my favorites! It was an awesome time and I hope to go back one day!

Getting everything together and packed for vacation! Heading out Friday evening, and then finishing on Saturday morning!

Two things:

1. Has anyone ever vacationed with their dog? Do you have any advice?

2. Ever been to VT? Where do I NEED to go?

Ben & Jerry’s and a winery are pretty much the only things I have committed to, other than relaxing. Any advice is welcomed. Please bear in mind–this is my “Congrats on graduating…again” trip–limited budget. 🙂

Thanks!, xoxo
